Salatiga, it is a small town where I live located in central java, precisely adjacent to merbabu volcano, salatiga comes from Javanese "Selo & Tigo" or triple stone which means stone is arranged into three and become Salatiga name, the stone is located in kauman kidul that directly adjacent to the district of pabelan district of Semarang, precisely in the village plompongan.
Speaking of salatiga, can not be separated from keindahananya so beautiful eyes, in every corner we will be treated to a beautiful view of the mountain merbagu, especially in the morning and sunny weather, feels so near the mountain, in addition to the beautiful scenery, the air also cool and clean, because there are still many trees and rice fields stretching around the city of Salatiga.
For culinary problems, there are various kinds of culinary sold along sudirman sudirman road ahead of the afternoon & evening, with typical Javanese people who average happy with the taste of sweet and spicy.
In Salatiga there are also 2 major universities that most of its students come from some region even some come from outside region, especially region papua, that is Satya Wacana Christian University or abbreviated UKSW most of its students come from papua region and Sekolah Tinggi Islam or now became the State Institute of Islamic Religion abbreviated as IAIN, most of its students came from outside the Salatiga area.
That was a small picture of salatiga, hopefully my blog gives a little insight into the city where I live.
